Question 1

Where is Rosemont in Regina?

Accepted Answer

Rosemont is in west Regina, Saskatchewan. The Rosemont Mount Royal Community Association describes the area it serves as the Rosemont and Mount Royal neighbourhoods of West Regina, and the City of Regina lists Rosemont School Park at 5310 4th Avenue under its West Zone. Homes in Rosemont carry S4T postal codes. This is Rosemont in Regina, Saskatchewan, which is a different place from Rosemont in Montreal, Illinois or Pennsylvania.

Question 2

What do homes cost in Rosemont Regina?

Accepted Answer

The Rosemont search returned 14 active MLS® listings on 31 August 2026, and this page renders 12 of them on page one, sorted highest price first. Those 12 are therefore the twelve most expensive of the 14, and they ran from $199,900 to $329,900. $329,900 was the highest asking price in the whole set. $199,900 was not the lowest: two cheaper listings sat on page two, and I did not see their prices. Across the twelve shown, the median asking price was $255,700 and the average was $270,875, and both of those run higher than the full 14 would give. These are asking prices on one day, not sold prices.

Question 3

What kinds of homes are in Rosemont Regina?

Accepted Answer

The City of Regina's 2021 Rosemont-Mount Royal profile counts 3,700 private dwellings: 2,875 single-detached houses, 430 apartments in buildings under five storeys, 215 row houses, 100 semi-detached houses and 80 duplex apartments. There are no apartment buildings of five storeys or more. On the 12 listings shown on page one on 31 August 2026 that showed up as bungalows around 1,000 to 1,050 square feet, one-and-a-half and one-and-three-quarter storey houses, and three 2013-built townhouse condominiums on Empress Street.

Question 4

What schools are in Rosemont Regina?

Accepted Answer

Two Regina Public Schools sit inside the neighbourhood. Rosemont Community School at 841 Horace Street runs Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8 with about 249 students and a full-time Pre-Kindergarten. Martin Collegiate at 1100 McIntosh Street runs Grades 9 to 12, opened in 1959 and has about 750 students. Being near a school does not guarantee a seat in it. Your designated school is set by your street address, so check the Regina Public Schools School Finder, or the Regina Catholic Schools School Finder for the Catholic system, before you buy.

Question 5

Is Rosemont Regina a good place to buy a first home?

Accepted Answer

The price band makes it worth a look. Of the 12 listings shown on page one on 31 August 2026, five were under $250,000: two detached houses and three townhouse condominiums. Two more Rosemont listings sat on page two at or below the page-one floor of $199,900, so the neighbourhood's actual entry price is $199,900 or less. That is a price band Regina does not offer in many established neighbourhoods. The trade-off is age. Rosemont is an established neighbourhood, and the City's 2021 profile records 415 dwellings in the combined Rosemont-Mount Royal area as needing major repairs against 3,290 needing only routine maintenance. Budget for a full inspection, and read the inspection report before you get attached to the house.

Question 6

How do most people in Rosemont get to work?

Accepted Answer

They drive. In the City of Regina's 2021 Rosemont-Mount Royal profile, 3,205 of 3,705 commuters, or 86.5 per cent, drove a car, truck or van themselves. Another 280 rode as passengers. Only 85 people, 2.29 per cent, took public transit, and 70 walked. If your household is planning to run on one vehicle, that number is worth knowing before you commit.

Question 7

Are there condo fees in Rosemont Regina?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on the townhouse condominiums. One published example on 31 August 2026: the unit at 216-1220 Empress Street lists a condo fee of $261 a month covering common area maintenance, exterior building maintenance, garbage, sewer, lawn care, snow removal, the reserve fund and common insurance. Fees differ by complex and by year, so always ask for the current fee, the reserve fund study and the last two years of minutes before you write an offer.

Question 8

What is the community association in Rosemont?

Accepted Answer

The Rosemont Mount Royal Community Association, or RMRCA. It was formed in 1988 when the separate Rosemont and Mount Royal associations merged, and it says it serves roughly 4,000 households, which makes it one of the largest community associations in Regina. It runs two supervised outdoor ice rinks from December to February, a Snow Angels volunteer snow-clearing program, and the Bloom'n Community beautification program started in 2017. A purpose-built community centre has been requested from the City since September 2021 but has not been built.
