The commute

Balgonie sits about 25 km east of Regina on the Trans-Canada Highway, which works out to roughly a 20 minute drive to the east end of the city and closer to half an hour to downtown. The town is at the junction of the Trans-Canada and Highways 10, 46, 364 and 622, so getting out to the lakes or north toward Fort Qu'Appelle is straightforward. For most buyers here the trade is simple: a few extra minutes in the car in exchange for a bigger lot and a quieter street.

Schools

Balgonie is part of Prairie Valley School Division No. 208. Greenall School, the grade 9 to 12 high school, is right in town and also serves students from Edenwold, Kronau, McLean, Pilot Butte and White City, so local kids are not bused into Regina for high school. That matters more than people expect when you are comparing Balgonie to a Regina suburb at a similar price.

Lots and housing stock
